Francesco Di Gregorio attained his diploma in piano at "D. Cimarosa" Conservatoire of Avellino, under the guidance of M° Lina Tufano, with the highest possible score and honorable mention.
Born in 1984, he began taking piano lessons when he was 13; from that moment, his name entered in the gold register of numerous National competitions; he won the first absolute category award in these contests: "Città di Caserta", "Mercato S. Severino", "Città di Lavello", "Premio Idelmo Poggioli", where he was first against over 80 brilliant pianists, "Premio Nettuno d´ Oro", "Concorso Nazionale Emanuele Gianturco", "Premio Napolinova", with which he had recorded a CD with music by Liszt. He was also 3rd at "Concorso Internazionale di Vietri sul mare", and many others.
He won a lot of scholarships, as for instance "Giovani Talenti 2000", "Premio Napolinova",”Bruno Mazzotta” and he was chosen to represent his Conservatoire in a lot of performances.
He had also recorded for Radio Vaticana and many of his recitals were transmitted for BBC..
He was often Lady Susanna Walton´s guest, in Ischia, giving numerous soloist and chamber concerts for her "William Walton´s Foundation" in the memory of her husband, the great composer William Walton.
He often works with the artists of Curtis Institute of Philadelphia, in many master classes.
As the winner of Mif (Melbourne Italian Festival) Price, he has given a soloist performance at the BMW Edge Theatre of Melbourne, which was transmitted by "The Globe".
Actually, he is busy in an intense chamber activity and he is finishing his studies for the Diploma in "Didattica della Musica" at "D. Cimarosa" Conservatoire of Avellino.
