Eleonora and Beatrice Dallagnese are two young pianists from the Veneto region, twin sisters, who are establishing themselves on the national and international music scene both as soloists and in duos. After graduating from the Conservatory of Padua, both with honors and honorable mention, they furthered their studies at the Imola Academy with prestigious teachers, being named a "Piano Duo of Particular Merit of the Imola Academy." Furthermore, in 2022 they were named Yamaha Artists, recording their first album, entitled "Iter." In 2024, they were admitted to the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where they are currently studying with A. Groethuysen. They have performed both as soloists and in piano duos at some of the most prestigious concert seasons in Italy (the Verona Philharmonic Academy, the Milan Quartet Society, the Teatro alla Scala Museum, Cremona Musica, the Bologna Philharmonic Academy, the Ferrara International Piano Festival, the American Academy of Rome, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, Pistoia, Ravenna, Perugia, Florence, Palermo, etc.) and abroad (Carnegie Hall in New York, the Wiener Saal in Salzburg, the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul, Brussels, Monte Carlo, Madrid, the Menton Music Festival in France, the Reichenau an der Rax Festival in Austria, Germany, and Poland). They have performed as soloists with various orchestras (the Abruzzese Symphony Orchestra, the Bacau Philharmonic, and the Virtuosi Brunensis Orchestra), and their concerts have been broadcast on numerous television channels. In 2023, they were selected by the International Academy of Imola for the Young Italian Musical Talents in the World project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the CIDIM - Italian National Music Committee (IMC – UNESCO). They have participated in national and international competitions both as soloists and as part of a piano duo, winning 45 first prizes: the "Piano Talents" International Piano Competition in Milan, the Rome International Piano Competition, the Concours International de piano à 4 mains in Monte Carlo, the Cesar Franck International Piano Competition in Brussels, the International Piano Competition in Treviso, the "Citta di Albenga," the "Recondite Armonie" International Piano Competition in Grosseto, the "Andrea Baldi" International Piano Competition in Bologna, and many others.
The program that the Dallagnese duo will present at La Mortella includes rarely heard compositions of great technical and musical importance. In particular, they will perform Sergei Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances, Op. 45, Rachmaninov's last work, his farewell as a composer: written for orchestra in 1940 and transcribed by himself for 2 pianos, they are characterised by extreme musical complexity and virtuosic commitment, but also by great intensity and vitality.
